Sailing
While on a trip with Ocean Wise, why not give it a go sailing the boat yourself? With a qualified crew able to show you the ropes, before long you will be tacking, gybing and trimming the mainsail. Sailing has a whole terminology and skill set that can be fairly daunting to newcomers. By learning some basic sailing techniques and terms while aboard our catamaran, guests can go on to become sailors themselves in the future if they wish!
Being part of the team on a sailing boat is one of the most exhilarating ways to spend some time on-board, even if it’s steering the vessel from the helm seat while chatting with friends and family.
Kite Surfing
Experienced kiters will enjoy riding the waves and busting out tricks off the Turkish coast. The Ocean Wise crew will keep an eye on the wind conditions and sail guests to the best spots. Kiters can launch straight off the boat or be taken to the beach on our tender to launch from there. Bring your gear and make the most of the warm water and gorgeous backdrop.
Complete beginners can also have a go at learning to kite while on a charter with Ocean Wise. We can incorporate a few days of lessons into a charter with one of the local kite schools, giving our guests time to learn a new sport in between all that relaxing. The shallow waters around Fethiye are an ideal spot to pick up the basics, with safety emphasised at every stage.

Stand Up Paddleboarding
Ocean Wise is equipped with Stand Up Paddle Boards, which are the perfect way to explore a little closer to shore. SUP’s are lightweight, stable and easy to control, making them ideal for complete beginners and professionals alike. Our friendly crew will launch the SUP’s for guests and can provide an intro on how to use them if needed. We will point out any good areas to investigate and keep a watchful eye in case anyone drifts a little too far.
Stand Up Paddleboarding is also great exercise. If guests are feeling particularly adventurous, why not try a spot of SUP yoga? Alternatively, the SUP’s can be used to access several great snorkelling areas.
Scuba Diving
For guests who are keen scuba divers, the crew aboard Ocean Wise are able to arrange dives in the local area. We work with well recommended dive companies who follow PADI safety protocol and have a PADI 5 Star rating.

Snorkelling
The waters around Fethiye and Göcek are renowned for being crystal clear, making them perfect for snorkelling. The warm water is very nutrient rich, with coral in abundance and hundreds of species of fish calling the area home. Around September, there is a high chance of seeing turtles as they go ashore to lay their eggs.
Ocean Wise is able to supply guests with snorkelling gear in a range of sizes. Fins, goggles and snorkels can all be provided, although guests are of course free to bring their own. We also have snorkel buoys for anyone who may feel a bit less confident in the water.
Our crew will take you to the best snorkelling spots depending on which route you choose to sail. Guests can either snorkel straight off the boat, or a member of crew can drive you out on the Ocean Wise tender.
Relax
If the idea of doing absolutely nothing seems like a dream come true, then a week aboard Ocean Wise is perfect. Our experienced crew will sail the catamaran along the scenic Turkish coastline while you relax. With a range of spaces to lounge including the overwater trampoline net, padded sun loungers, stern seating area and spacious indoor saloon, guests are spoiled for choice.
Ocean Wise also features a select library for anyone who wants to enjoy a good book while the sun shines.
Beach Hopping
Turkey is home to a vast array of gorgeous beaches, ranging from small, secluded coves to wide stretches of empty sand. There are also some great exposed sandbars, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. The Ocean Wise crew will sail guests to a selection of these spectacular locations.
If there is something in particular that our guests would like, such as a deserted grotto at sunset, this can be accommodated with a chat with our friendly crew.
